It is finally time to embark into the third season of the hit NBC crime drama, 'Good Girls', and by the looks of it, this time, things are going to have the same old razzle-dazzle minus the sinister aura of Rio. At least for the solid few minutes into the beginning.

The official promotional teaser released by the network for the upcoming Season 3 premiere takes us back to the most defining point of the previous second season — the time when Beth (Christina Hendricks) shot her tumultuous romantic interest, Rio (Manny Montana). We reel through the final moments of Beth making the choice that will direct the arc for the upcoming season and shot Rio enough times to make him bleed to his death, but not quite.

Agent Turner offered Rio the chance to exchange his survival for a favor that's he'd owe him in the long run. Though the snippets for Season 3 begin with Beth saying things are different, the lingering possibility of Rio returning any time still stands large.

Season 3 begins with the titular good girls celebrating the fact that 'he is gone'. He, of course, refers to Rio here, but let's focus on the girls for a second. As of now, Beth gives Ruby (Retta) and Annie (Mae Whitman) the tempting idea of how they are 'free.' "We print 20 mil, one big run, whenever we want," she says as montages of the three of them printing notes and blowing that up appears on the screen.

Beth claims she has found something that "is literally like nail polish remover, hydrogen peroxide, and bleach counter," aka fit for scrubbing out the ink from the fake notes they so love producing. That, of course, gets padded with the three of them going about their shenanigans, dabbling into some breaking and entering, kidnapping, and of course "class two with an animal" or whatever that means according to Dean (Matthew Lillard).

As we are reminded of the age-old 'Good Girls' motto that 'cash is queen' once again, there's a brief snippet of Beth making out with Dean that really puts a lot on the line, especially since another snippet shows her walking into the darkness of the night to meet a hooded, all black-clad mysterious figure, which we shall cross our fingers hoping is actually the epic Rio comeback the entire fandom is waiting for.

'Good Girls' Season 3 premieres on Sunday, February 16, at 10 pm only on NBC.
