Golden Globes 2020: Joaquin Phoenix's bizarre uncensored acceptance speech at award ceremony available online

Joaquin Phoenix won the Best Actor award for 'Joker' at the 77th Golden Globe Awards, but fans across the world had a hard time hearing what the actor had to say after his speech was bleeped out on the telecast.

However, a version of his acceptance speech without the censor is available on Twitter and its clear there is enough cussing from Phoenix's part. 

According to Comicbook, Phoenix said: "We all know there’s no f****** competition between us," Phoenix said.

"I’m your f****** student. I can’t believe the beautiful mesmerizing, unique work that you've all done this year, but I really do feel honored to be mentioned with you."  The site also added him saying: "Contrary to popular belief, I don’t want to rock the boat, but the boat is f****** rocked."

The 'Joker' had stirred endless controversy and debates, and many questions were raised on whether it could incite violence. However, despite the controversies, Phoenix's performance as the notorious DC villain Joker is known to have received an eight-minute standing ovations at film festivals.

The other nominations in the category included: Christian Bale in 'Ford v. Ferrari', Antonio Banderas in 'Pain and Glory', Adam Driver in 'Marriage Story' and Jonathan Pryce in 'The Two Popes'.

'Joker' narrated the story of loner Arthur Fleck, a man pushed to the periphery of society and his final devolvement into the world of crime and how he incites citywide riots.

Meanwhile, at the Golden Globes 2020,  Awkwafina won Best Actress for 'The Farewell', Brad Pitt won Best Supporting Actor for 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood', Russell Crowe won Best Actor In Limited Series or TV Movie for 'The Loudest Voice', and Phoebe Waller-Bridge won Best Actress for Comedy for 'Fleabag', which has received rave reviews from critics and audience alike. 'Succession' won Best Drama series and 'Parasite' won in the Best Foreign Language film category.
