'Glass Onion' fans want Daniel Craig to be 'formally banned' from doing Louisiana accent
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There was no doubt that 'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery' was destined to be a gigantic hit and as soon as the reviews dropped in, it became clear that Rian Johnson had knocked it out of the park once again. The sequel to the 2019 movie sees Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) returning to investigate another murder mystery in Greece along with his weird accent that became a rage after the original movie.
'Glass Onion' sees Blanc travelling to Greece as he takes on a new case revolving around a tech billionaire and his old friends. The entire group reaches a remote island where Miles Bron (Edward Norton) is waiting for everyone to join the murder mystery.The cast includes Kathryn Hahn, Janelle Monae, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline in pivotal roles. Even though the movie is receiving universal acclaim for its epic storytelling, brilliant performances and extraordinary twists and turns. However, fans are now really frustrated with Craig's Louisiana accent.

The weird accent got a lot of acclaim in the first movie 'Knives Out' and fans absolutely loved the actor's dialect. But it seems it got too much for them when he returned with a similar accent in the second movie. Fans praised the film wholeheartedly, but didn't shy away from criticizing Craig's accent. Despite such criticisms, the film continues to be a rage among fans who flocked to the streaming platform for another round of classic whodunnit. According to the streaming service, the Rian Johnson directorial has been watched for more than 82.1 million hours in the first three days of its release, making it Netflix's sixth-biggest film debut of all time. Additionally, the film has already been seen by more than 35 million households in the first three days of its release.
'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story' currently holds a rating of 93% on the review site Rotten Tomatoes.
