Apple TV + is bringing in some interesting shows as part of its roster and one of them is a reported reboot of the hit '90s kids series 'Ghostwriter'.  'Ghostwriter' was an American children's mystery television series created by Liz Nealon and produced by the Children's Television Workshop (now Sesame Workshop) and BBC Television in 1992.  The series revolves around a group of friends from Brooklyn who solve crimes in their neighborhood with the help of an invisible ghost named Ghostwriter.

Release date

'Ghostwriter' will debut on November 1 on Apple TV+.

Plot

The official synopsis reads: "Ghostwriter, a reinvention of the beloved original series, follows four kids who are brought together by a mysterious ghost in a neighborhood bookstore, and must team up to release fictional characters from works of literature".

The series will borrow the same template as the '90s drama. According to Deadline, a ghost haunts a neighborhood book store and starts releasing fictional characters into the real world. Four friends must team up to solve the mystery of the ghost's unfinished business. The site also reported that each episode story arc is grouped around literature, featuring classics and new works commissioned from popular authors like DJ Machale and Kwame Alexander.

Cast

'Ghostwriter' stars newcomers Amadi Chapata, Justin Sanchez, Isaac Arellanes, and Hannah Levinson. The adult cast includes 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' alum Brett Dalton. The rest of the cast details are yet to be announced and we'll keep you updated.

Writer/Director

'Ghostwriter' will be written and directed by Luke Matheny ('The Dangerous Book for Boys'). J.J. Johnson, Andrew Orenstein, and Christin Simms serve as executive producers.
