It was through this 2000's show that the world was introduced to the concept of paranormal investigators - a concept that has been a classic trope for plenty of horror films and shows. The show wrapped its 12 year run in the year 2016 and ever since then, this is the first time the docuseries is gearing up for its highly anticipated comeback. Release date:
'Ghost Hunters' 2019 is returning this month, on Wednesday, August 21, at 9 p.m only on the network, A&E. The series reboot has been greenlit for 20 episodes.
Plot:
Following the original pattern of 'Ghost Hunters' as we have known and loved, the 2019 reboot "will follow one of the original team leaders, Grant Wilson, and his handpicked group of professional ghost hunters as they use their decades of field experience to investigate hauntings across the country. Engaging forensic experts, historical records and the most innovative technology available, the new squad will help everyday people who are struggling with unexplained supernatural phenomena. The team is committed to discovering the truth to give relief to those plagued by paranormal activity and will follow the evidence they uncover wherever it may lead."

Cast:
Joining Wilson in the 'Ghost Hunters' reboot will be lead investigators Brian Murray and Daryl Marston, paranormal researcher Kristen Luman, 'ghost geek' and paranormal technician Brandon Alvis, historian Mustafa Gatollari, and Richel Stratton who has a keenness for adventure.

The reboot comes from executive producers Craig Piligian, Tom Thayer, Alan David, and Rob Katz, who helmed the original 'Ghost Hunters'.
