Lifetime Movies Network is bringing you the thrilling story of an obsessive young girl, who imprints on someone she calls her close friend. She becomes so obsessed that she is ready to end anyone who comes in the way. 'Friends Who Kill' was earlier called 'Death By Friendship'.

Plot
The official synopsis of the movie states: "Hope has always been close to her daughter Lacy, but ever since her divorce, she’s noticed a change in Lacy’s behaviour and is afraid she’s pulling away. When Lacy brings home a new friend, Cassie, it seems Lacy might be back on track. Lacy and Cassie quickly become close friends, driving a wedge between Lacy and her other friend, Harper. When Harper unearths Cassie's dark past, she tries to warn Hope, who writes it off as teen girl jealousy. But soon Lacy realizes Harper was right and Cassie is a lot more dangerous than she appears."

Natalie Brown as Hope
Brown plays the role of Hope, Lacy's mother, who shares a close relationship with her. But that relationship is threatened when Lacy brings home a new friend Cassie. The actress is known for her work in 'Happy Town', 'Sophie', 'Naked Josh', 'Mutant X', 'Zoe Busiek: Wild Card' and 'Dawn of the Dead' among others. She is also known for her role as a dean at a military school in the Hallmark original movie 'The Strain'.
Sarah Fisher as Lacy
As Lacy, Canadian actress Sarah Fisher makes a new friend in Cassie, who she thinks is going through the same situations in life. But soon, she realizes that Cassie is not who she claims to be. But will it be too late till Lacy finds out the truth?
The actress is known for the role of Becky Baker on 'Degrassi', a fan favorite on the show. Se is also known for her work on 'Kiss & Cry', 'Flawless', 'Skin' and 'Stickman'.
Alexa Rose Steele as Cassie
Rose Steele plays the role of the main antagonist of the movie, Cassie, who seems to be just a normal girl at first, but hides a violent past and terrible secrets. The actress is known for playing the role of Tori on 'Degrassi: The Next Generation'. She is also known for 'The Choking Game' and 'Wildflower'.

'Friends Who Kill' is a thriller written by John Burd, who is known for his work on 'Collison Course', '12 Feet Deep' and 'The Office Mix-Up'. The Lifetime movie is directed by Richard Switzer, who is known for executive producing SXSW hit 'Tragedy Girls' with Craig Robinson and Josh Hutcherson.

You can watch the trailer for the Lifetime movie here. In the 30-second trailer for 'Friends Who Kill' opens with Cassie telling Hope that she is lucky to have found a friend and close ally in someone like Lacy, who is not like the girls from her old school who tore each other down.
But the video then goes on to show her violent and murderous rage that comes as quite the surprise. The trailer shows her slowly becoming obsessed with Lacy, so much so that she is willing to kill Lacy's other friend Harper.
