'Friday Night In With The Morgans' Episode 10: Michelle Hurd talks civil rights with guests and fans are moved

In the latest episode of their AMC talk show 'Friday Night In with The Morgans', Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton's connect with their friends Garret Dillahunt, Michelle Hurd, and Sonia Barnes-Moorhead on video chat to talk about work, life and their take on the current social circumstances. As an interracial couple, Hurd and Dillahunt took a stance on their personal experiences through incidents that Hurd faced as an individual or even as a couple. 

Fans of the show were moved and touched by the discussion that followed and continued throughout the episode. Taking to Twitter, they joined in the discussion. "This is an incredibly inspiring and moving episode. Theater and movie actress Hurd and Moorehead both spoke up on the civil rights activism currently dominating the country's social canvas and how their personal experiences connect to it. Hurd shared stories of her father and how the community had contributed to saving people during World War II, her father's legacy of being an activist and how her parents married during a time when some states in the United States did not allow interracial marriages. The actor duo, Hurd and Dillanhunt, also spoke about how and why the lack of accountability is largely responsible for the way law and order is the way it is. Acknowledging the same, another fan chimed in. "Exactly! ACCOUNTABILITY. We can’t stop fighting, it’s not over yet. @HilarieBurton #FridayNightInWithTheMorgans," said a Twitter fan.

Inspired by Hurd's point of discussion on how people are judged based even on the most trivial, almost irrelevant things, a fan raised a topic they feel personally attached to and commented, "#FridayNightInWithTheMorgans@HilarieBurton @JDMorgan @ItsMichelleHurd @garretdillahunt I really hate when companies say that black people's hair is unprofessional too, that's a serious issue, I hope that's another issue people fight as well."
