French Montana ‘They Got Amnesia’ Fan Review: Album is 'unmatched' and 'impressive'

A day after Drake pulled out his feature from French Montana’s fourth studio album, ‘They Got Amnesia’, the latter decided to go ahead with its release on Friday, November 19. French Montana’s latest full-length album comes after a gap of two years. He had last dropped an album called ‘Montana’ in 2019 that delivered hits like ‘No Stylist’, ‘Slide’, ‘Wiggle It’, ‘Suicide Doors’, ‘Writing on the Wall’, and others.
 
French Montana’s new record goes heavy on features. For collaborations, Montana tapped renowned artistes such as Lil Durk, Doja Cat, John Legend, Rick Ross, Kodak Black, late Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Fabolous, Coi Leray, 42 Dugg, Ty Dolla $ign, Latto, Lil Tjay, and Moneybagg Yo. Drake pulled out his song called ‘Splash Brothers’ at the last moment out of respect for the Astroworld tragedy. His song will now reportedly be up for streaming in the deluxe version. The ‘Unforgettable’ hitmaker’s new record managed to create quite a buzz on the internet as music lovers dubbed the album as impressive.

French Montana releases new album ‘They Got Amnesia’

French Montana’s ‘They Got Amnesia’ is stacked with 20 songs in addition to a bonus track. The album’s lead single, ‘FMWGAB’ was released in June 2021 followed by a second single, ‘I Don’t Really Care’ in October. Song namely ‘Panicking’ featuring Fivio Foreign was also released on the Internet with a music video in order to create hype for the album.

French Montana’s ‘They Got Amnesia’ was earlier supposed to hit the leading streaming platforms on November 12, 2021, but was pushed back a week due to unmentioned reasons. While sharing the cover art on Instagram earlier, the acclaimed rap artist had said, “'They got amnesia' the album November 12. grateful to be here to tell my story. 2 years ago this same day i was in icu fighting for my life. loss of memory lost friends lost hope almost lost it all…. and when i was down i found out all i had was allah… he picked me up and gave me a second chance …. while i was trying to bounce back they counted me out, and forgot everything we did. day 730 'they got amnesia' the album nov 12.” You can listen to the full album here.

Social media users rushed to Twitter to praise Montana’s new album. “French Montana is actually pretty good, his music is fire and so are his albums, stream amnesia.” Another shared, “This French Montana album is kinda hard.” One, echoing similar sentiments, stated, “‘They got amnesia ‘ Album is hard like really A+.”
