'Flack' Season 2: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything else about Anna Paquin's show on Pop TV

'Flack' Season 2 will see Anna Paquin resume the lead role of Robyn, who is an American publicist working in London. The second season arrives March 13

'Flack' season 1 premiered on February 21 and consisted of six episodes. The first three episodes were directed by Peter Cattaneo, and the final three were directed by George Kane. The show was created by Oliver Lansley and it received a renewal order for season 2 on August 2, 2019. 

Release date:

The second season of 'Flack' is scheduled to premiere on March 13 and can be watched on Pop TV on Fridays at 10 pm ET. 

Plot: 

Season 1 recap:

In season 1, we meet Robyn when she is at the peak of her career as a publicist as she successfully helps clients stay out of the media or spin stories to support their image. She is also an addict who often sniffs drugs to control her emotions. She has a boyfriend Sam (Arinze Kene) who is a nurse and while the two are in a monogamous relationship, Robyn cheats on him multiple times. Throughout the first season, we see how Robyn's life unravels because of her decisions leaving her estranged from both her sister and her boyfriend. 

Season 2:

The official synopsis of season two reads "The second season picks up with Robyn (Anna Paquin) putting her life back together after her myriad of addictions got the better of her at the end of season one. Focusing on rebuilding her relationship with her sister and keeping her clients out of the headlines, she must also face a new and unexpected revelation head-on. Meanwhile, her boss Caroline (Sophie Okonedo) is surprised to see her ex (Neill) return, while Eve (Lydia Wilson) is tasked with keeping new client Gabriel Cole (Kim) satisfied, and Melody (Rebecca Benson) is adjusting to a new life after leaving the firm."

Cast:

Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin plays the lead role, Robyn, a publicity manager for the biggest celebrities in London. She is an American, who lives in London with her boyfriend Sam, but at the end of season 1, she has burned the bridges between herself, her friend Eve, her sister Ruth and her boyfriend Sam. 

Sophie Okonedo

Sophie Okonedo plays the role of Caroline, Robyn's boss at the PR firm where she works. Caroline is eccentric and always has her eye on the job. Robyn is one of her trusted employees to clean up the mess created by their celebrity clients. 

Lydia Wilson 

Lydia Wilson plays the role of Eve, Robyn's friend at work. Lydia to an extent idolizes Robyn and considers her a true friend but at the end of season 1, we saw how Robyn ruined this relationship by trying to sleep with a man that Eve was not only attracted to, but had fallen for as well. 

Rebecca Benson

Rebecca Benson plays the role of Melody, an intern at Robyn's firm. She begins working for the PR firm with a resolution to make it big like Robyn. However, once she sees how Robyn struggles to keep her life together, the ways in which she tries to hold everything together with no time for herself puts Melody off of publicity and she quits the firm. In season 2, we will see her adapt to a life where she is not Robyn's intern. 

Other cast members include Plimpton who will appear in an episode as Robyn’s late mother. Genevieve Angelson also returns as Robyn’s sister, Ruth, alongside Rufus Jones (Home) and Arinze Kene. Guest stars will include Jane Horrocks, Giles Terera and Amanda Abbington, reprising her role as Alexa.

Oliver Lansley is best known for writing the 2010 sit-com 'Whites' and has acted in multiple films and TV shows including 'Doctor Who', 'The Aliens' and 'Agatha Raisin' among others.

The trailer of 'Flack' Season 2 sees Robyn try more than ever to reconnect with her sister and her boyfriend Sam, but they do not trust her anymore. They do not believe anything that she has to say and while struggling to pick the pieces of her personal life up, Robyn also has a job to do and that is to manage celebrity clients who have messes to clean up.
