'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 6 Episode 1 Preview: Is Morgan going to become a new supernatural being?
It's 'Fear Of The Walking Dead' and anything can happen. In Season 5, the characters begin their journey, hoping that they would be able to save those who needed it. But toward the end, they are defeated and divided by Ginny's group which is somewhat similar to the beginning of Season 7 of 'The Walking Dead', where the group was divided by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
At the end of Season 5 in FWD, Morgan (Lennie James) and Grace (Karen David) seemed to have finally found an understanding and, moments later, were separated. Later, the episode ended with Virginia (Colby Minfie) shooting Morgan, leaving him for dead. In the final scene, a bloodied Morgan leaves a message for his friends "just live" and then a swarm of walkers descends upon him.
But surprise, we still get to see him in the trailer for Season 6, which means that he's obviously not going anywhere... we hope. But at what cost? What do those bloodshot eyes mean? However, Virginia (Colby Minfie) has sent a bounty hunter to decapitate him and send his head back to her in a box.
It turns out, while trying to somewhat survive despite a bullet in the heart, Morgan makes an aquaintance along the way named Isaac and he isn't sure whether to trust him or not. Isaac could possibly be his savior or could be the foe who is also helping Virginia with her bloodied mission.
At the New York Comic-Con, the showrunners teased what the red eyes could mean, "I guess we'll give the stock answer: people are going to have to wait and see… But something is definitely going on with Morgan and its something that we haven't quite seen before in the Walking Dead universe."
They added, "And it is going to push Morgan to new places and make him really question everything he’s ever been about and kind of who he wants to be going forward… if he gets to go forward...." There was much speculation on whether Morgan had become a strange version of a Walker or what supernatural stuff was going on with him.
The synopsis for the premiere reads, "Mortally wounded, Morgan must decide whether to help a desperate stranger while a mysterious bounty hunter tries to finish what Ginny couldn't." 'Fear The Walking Dead' airs on AMC on Sundays at 9 pm.
