'Fate: The Winx Saga' is back to take you back to the magical world of Alfea. The series is based on Nickelodeon's animated series 'Winx Club', which was created by Iginio Straffi. It is produced by Archery Pictures in association with Rainbow, a studio co-owned by Iginio Straffi and Paramount Global. Rainbow's Joanne Lee also oversaw the show as an executive producer. Apart from them, the crew behind Fate is entirely new to the 'Winx' franchise, and the writers were recruited from teen dramas like 'The Vampire Diaries'.

The series features an ensemble cast based on the characters of the animated show, with Abigail Cowen playing the lead role of Bloom. The six-episode first season debuted on Netflix on January 22, 2021, to mixed reviews as the Nickelodeon animated series had a reputation of its own. In February 2021, the series was renewed for a second season. However, fans have to decide on their own once the second season arrives whether the show is with it or not. Here are all the details that you need to know about the series before you watch it on Netflix.

How can I watch 'Fate: The Winx Saga' Season 2?

You can stream 'Fate: The Winx Saga' Season 2 on Netflix when it releases and watch its first season on the same streaming platform in case you haven't already.

Who’s acting in 'Fate: The Winx Saga' Season 2?

To begin with, we have our leading girl gang back in action which comprises Bloom ('The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Abigail Cowen), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), Musa (Elisha Applebaum), Terra (Eliot Salt), and Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen). Joining them will be Paulina Chávez, who will play Flora. The first season of 'Fate: The Winx Saga' came under fire for ignoring the Latina character and instead replacing her with Terra, who isn't present in the series.

What is the plot of 'Fate: The Winx Saga' Season 2?

The official synopsis of the series reads, "Bloom, a fairy with fire powers, enrolls at a magical boarding school in the Otherworld called Alfea. She shares a suite with Stella, a light fairy; Aisha, a water fairy; Terra, an earth fairy; and Musa, a mind fairy. With the help of her friends, Bloom starts to learn more about her past. Meanwhile, ancient creatures called the Burned Ones return to the Otherworld and threaten everyone at Alfea."

What is the latest buzz around 'Fate: The Winx Saga' Season 2?

Eliot Salt had earlier told Metro.co.uk that the team has been speaking out behind the scenes to rectify the issue and that Flora may make an appearance in future episodes, should the show be renewed. She said, "I think those are more than valid criticisms, and if we get a series two, I wish we had control enough to say that it will be rectified, but I’m fairly certain that it will be."

'Fate: The Winx Saga's official page on Instagram recently posted a behind-the-scene picture of the cast members having fun and captioned it, "Magic is better with friends 📸: @preciousmustaph @preshonfilm #drop3of4."

Abigail Cowen also posted a picture of her eating a snacks bar on set and teased fans by captioning it, "Season 2 will include snacks and that’s the tea."
