'Fatal Attraction' Episode 2 Review: Dan Gallagher and Alex Forrest's story continues to feel like a drag
Spoilers for 'Fatal Attraction' Episode 2
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Fatal Attraction' has finally begun to progress, and possibly in the right direction as the spark between Dan Gallagher and Alex Forrest is turning into a fire. There’s a lot riding on Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan in 'Fatal Attraction' Episode 2, who play the roles of Dan and Alex. The chemistry between these two characters had been set by Glenn Close and Michael Douglas in 1987, and to live up to that is truly an enormous task.
'Fatal Attraction' Episode 2 has a few moments that will make you remember the classic movie, but it's also bound to disappoint you a little. Nevertheless, the momentum has definitely picked up a little in the second episode, leaving viewers hopeful for what’s yet to come.

Who made the first move?
'Fatal Attraction' Episode 2 presents viewers with one glaringly obvious question - something that will be carried on for the rest of the series. Between Alex and Dan, it is a little difficult to conjure who made the first move, because it almost feels a little balanced. We’re trying our hardest not to compare this to the original movie, but it almost seems impossible at certain points, especially since things begin to get hot and heavy in 'Fatal Attraction' Episode 2.
The flirting between Alex and Dan gets more intense, and we are presented with a scene replica from the original movie, the one where it rains heavily and they’re both under the same umbrella. Frankly, it’s a smart move to include scenes like these, because fans of the movie will at least be pleased for a little while, and that’s better than nothing. Eventually, Dan and Alex end up in her apartment together, and things escalate, but it just doesn’t feel the same. It feels dragged on, and almost lazy. While Lizzy Caplan and Joshua Jackson are both attractive actors, they’re not Michael Douglas or Glenn Close. More importantly, instead of focusing on the chemistry, you will simply find yourself asking the question: who made the first move?
'Fatal Attraction' Episode 2 introduces the infamous bunny!
Admittedly, this felt a little too on the nose, but 'Fatal Attraction' promised a rendition of the infamous boiling bunny scene, and they weirdly introduced the bunny in the second episode itself. As Dan leaves Alex’s apartment and heads towards the lift, he notices a white bunny, makes eye contact, and makes his way into the lift. For now, this scene seems a little irrelevant, but of course, it is building up to a bigger reveal later in the series. The creators have done a good job of leaving the viewers confused. Is it Alex’s bunny? And if so, will she boil her own bunny? The possibilities are endless!
