What is the plot of ‘Fatal Attraction’?

'Fatal Attraction,' the miniseries, will explore Alex Forrest and Dan Gallagher's sizzling affair and the infidelity on Dan's part to pursue it, much like the story of the 1987 classic. After a brief affair, Alex becomes obsessed with Dan and refuses to end their affair. Dan realizes that Alex's obsession is not the only thing that has become his problem, but also his wife Beth’s suspicions. Alex's obsession leads to emotional blackmail, stalking, and much more.

The series will examine the idea of a "fatal attraction" and the classic themes of the marital dissatisfaction leading to extramarital affairs through a modern perspective, as well as society's attitude towards strong women, personality disorders, 'blaming the victim' trope, and of course, controlling behaviors in relationships.

The thriller miniseries will premiere on Paramount+ on April 30.
