LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: With the success of the first Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix, both the critics and the audience have been eagerly awaiting the sequel. 'Joker: Folie à Deux', the second film in the series, is rumored to be a musical tale centred on Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn. A new batch of BTS photos from the sets show the actress costumed as Harley Quinn, continuing the internet's fascination with her earlier look shots.

DC fans questioned Todd Phillips' decision to cast Lady Gaga in 'Joker: Folie à Deux'. They were, however, charmed by her first appearance and thought that she could do the job with ease. With these new batch of pictures out, fans quickly took to social media to show their excitement for the sequel.

The 'Joker: Folie a Deux': 5 things we know about the sequel to Joaquin Phoenix Oscar-winner

What is 'Joker: Folie à Deux' going to be about?

The conclusion of 'Joker' kind of left things hanging. At an unknown time, Fleck was imprisoned in Arkham State Hospital for inciting riots throughout Gotham City. After probably killing his therapist, Fleck broke away, and it's probable that 'Folie à Deux' will pursue him as he flees and he continues to transform into the Joker.

Another intriguing idea is the idea of a musical, which implies that Joker 2 might emulate shows like 'The Boys' and 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' that had musical episodes. It also supports the notion that this time, we'll go more deeply inside Fleck's psyche. Interestingly, the title of Folie à Deux could hint at where things are heading. The title translates as a "delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association". Folie à Deux is the ideal chance to introduce Harley Quinn to this gloomy and sombre environment because someone else besides Batman spends their existence with the Joker. Just like Dr Harleen Quinzel worked at Arkham Asylum, Joker’s ending perfectly sets her up.

'Literally Hollywood royalty'

Fans quickly took to Twitter to show their excitement for the upcoming sequel. One viewer commented, "I’m so excited to see her take on the character and the musical performances she will be giving us", while another said, "MOTHER REALLY EMBODIED HARLEY QUINN". One fan of Gaga said, "Gaga is an incredibly talented performer and her ability to embody complex characters is truly remarkable. It's sure to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions and a visual feast for the eyes. She will deliver a performance. This is definitely a film I'll be eagerly anticipating!" Another fan said, "Literally the Hollywood royalty, all of your faves can’t relate! Oh Godga you’ll always be famous!". "I already know she's gonna kill this part🙌🤗", said another fan. "Wow, this is so much better than the early photos. And she's really giving crazy bitch vibes. Which is so Harley," commented another user.
