NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Viewers of Fox News have opened up about the second GOP Debate as the network announced that Stuart Varney and Dana Perino would be the moderators.

Many of them seemed to have lost interest after the blunders of the first Presidential debate did not sit well with them.

Some are also unsure about the choice of hosts made by Fox for the second debate.

It is unclear what the fate of this debate would be as viewership has been seriously affected by the absence of former President Donald Trump at the debate stage.

First GOP Debate moderators a popular choice?

The first GOP debate was moderated by in-house hosts Martha Maccallum and Bret Baier.

They were not exactly loved as the handlers of the Republican candidates getting the first-ever chance to prove themselves for the 2024 Presidential Elections.

Even the candidates at times showed their disapproval with the way moderators were asking questions; Florida Governor Ron DeSantis seemed to have an issue with raising hands to show their political standing saying they were not "schoolchildren".

Christ Christie also expressed his problems with the moderators not being able to maintain the decorum of the debate stage as candidates kept on speaking over each other, stealing a few seconds here and there.

Fans of Fox News think a Trump no-show won't be fun

Many dedicated viewers of Fox News are unsure about whether they will be watching the second debate which is to be held on September 27, 2023. The moderator for the second debate from Fox News would be Stuart Varney and Dana Perino.

"Will Donald Trump be there? Otherwise get ready for terrible ratings and nobody giving a s***," a fan wrote, referring to Trump's previous refusal to participate in any and all Presidential debates because of his unbeatable lead.

"The debate that hardly anyone will watch," one commented, and another fan shared the sentiment saying, "Didn't watch the 1st won't be watching the 2nd." On the other hand, a follower positively commented, "I hope they do better than the last two!!"

Others made suggestions that could make the debate interesting, with one of them saying, "They should consider including Robert Kennedy Jr in this debate, since the democrats are not even recognizing the existence of the guy."

Shading the previous moderators for asking the very first question about country singer Oliver Anthony, a fan also wrote, "Please don’t ask the candidates about a song." Another one hoped for  better as they commented, "I hope Stuart can get control of these clowns it was a s*** show for the first one."
