FAYETTEVILLE, GEORGIA: 'Family Feud' has its own unique way of celebrating Independence Day. The game show decided to not just share a simple celebratory video or a digital greeting card on the Instagram account but a video from a few years ago that showed a major blunder by a contestant that left host Steve Harvey with his jaw hanging

It was not just any random video shared by the account but something quite relevant to the occasion of the Fourth of July. While the video was old, it still left many fans of 'Family Feud' shocked to the point of disappointment with the contestant. The followers flooded the comments with their disapproval of the contestant's ignorant response.

'Family Feud' celebrated the Fourth of July

The video posted on the Instagram account had the contestant Arlene McKenzie on one side of the podium. The show host Harvey presented the question to two contestants, Arlene being one of them, asking, "Based on its size, if your bottom was a planet, which one would it be?" Now, the question was not particularly tricky and mentioned the word 'planet' quite clearly in it. But alas, contestant Arlene seemed to have missed that detail in the question.

She buzzed in to answer first and her response was a very hesitant "America". Harvey started by looking absolutely shocked by her response followed by a gravely disappointed look. The 'Family Feud' Instagram account did hilarious editing on the video with the American flag and fireworks symbolic of the Fourth of July celebration displayed in the background of the video.

'Her brain would be Pluto'

The game show fans didn't exactly find the video funny and went on to criticize the ignorance of the contestant. One follower commented on the post, "I really wish the audience would let these people know how bad their answer was by NOT clapping." Some were quite harsh with their responses, saying things like, "Don't know about her bottom, but her brains a size of a chickpea," and, "Her brain would be Pluto, just based on size."

The followers also brought back the classic Internet joke of Americans being geographically challenged as they are not aware of many things outside of the country. One such fan said, "I love how most Americans think America is the entire world." Another commented, "In her defense, this is how aliens see Earth in American movies." An American commenter recognized the blunder saying, "“The most American answer I’ve ever heard.” -Me, an American."
