'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition': Release date, plot, host, trailer and all you need to know about HGTV's home renovation show

Extreme Makeover is back with its Home edition and viewers are in for some new renovations to watch out for.

It is possible to enjoy the warmth and calmness of your house once you enter it after having a long and rough day. While some of us are very fortunate, others may not be. Luckily for them, they can rely on Extreme Makeover to come to their rescue. Even though the show wrapped up in 2012, reruns of  'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' have made it difficult for fans to let go of the successful show and not to mention the gorgeous homes they built during their time. Bringing back all that fun and more, the show is set to take viewers on another journey soon. Here's all you need to know about the reality series before you hop onto the bandwagon.

Release date:

'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' will be released on February 16 at 9 pm ET on HGTV. 

Plot: 

The show will see the experts racing to change the lives of the deserving people in the best way they can. The experts will give the chosen families custom, whole home renovations intended to change their lives forever. The show will also be shedding light on  "local heroes and those who give back to their communities despite personal challenges."

For their first episode, the show has decided to change the life of a single dad and local firefighter Nick Reeder by transforming his home.

HGTV confirmed that Jesse Tyler will be appearing on the show as the host. Jesse is best known for portraying Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom 'Modern Family' . He says he hopes to bring 'humor' and a human connection' to the show'. 

Along with Jesse, Breegan Jane, Darren Keefe Reiher, and Carrie Locklyn would be the designers who will be helping transform the lives of the people.

Soon it will be time to MOVE THAT BUS as 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' is coming with new episodes. In the trailer, Jesse says that he feels good to be given a chance to see people's lives transform as the experts renovate the house in one day. This show will make everyone believe that a day is enough to change someone's life completely.

The show will be produced by Endemol Shine North America with Sharon Levy and DJ Nurre serving as executive producers.
