'Evil': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything you need to know about the supernatural drama on CBS

After a Comic-Con screening of the series premiere, Michelle King hinted about the constant battle between science and mysticism in the supernatural drama 'Evil'
PUBLISHED AUG 21, 2019

A psychological mystery, 'Evil' is an upcoming series on CBS and CBS All Access that explores the blurred lines between science and religion.

The series, written and created by Robert King and Michelle King, revolves around the life of a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a carpenter as they investigate the Church's backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and hauntings.

After a Comic-Con screening of the series premiere, Michelle King hinted about the constant battle between science and mysticism. "What we liked about the show is the ability to show two people with very different ideas about spirituality, someone who is truly skeptical and someone who is a true believer. We liked the idea of both of them being able to express their feelings and listen to each other respectfully and have a dialogue," she said.

Release date

The supernatural drama is all set for a September 26 release on CBS and CBS All Access at 10/9c every Thursday.
