NEW YORK, NEW YORK: With a show like 'Euphoria' that has attracted enough controversies since its release, Sydney Sweeney's character Cassie was the one that gained more attention among the audiences during Season 2. While it may have yielded enough popularity for Sydney, it certainly did not prepare her family on what they were about to witness.

Sydney has made it abundantly clear that she loves the character Cassie. She said finds Cassie to be broken and beautiful. Sydney further continued by saying, "I love playing Cassie, especially last season because she was so crazy. As an actor, that’s just so much fun to kind of stretch your legs and play characters that go insane and do all these crazy choices," reported People

Sydney's father and grandfather were in shock

Sydney's family was extremely shocked upon seeing her on 'Euphoria' and with the nude scenes only increasing in each season, it is bound to make her family uncomfortable. She mentioned that both her father and grandfather walked out of the room when they first tried watching the show. 'Euphoria' is known for featuring gritty and sexual content, which can make someone easily go queasy.

Sydney's grandmother was her biggest cheerleader

Turns out, the women of her family are much supportive towards her role as Cassie and even her acting. Sydney clarifies that she prepared the women of the family to understand the nature of 'Euphoria's content but unwittingly left out the men from the process. Sydney said, “My mom visited me on set quite a few times, so she knew the story. My dad didn’t. I didn't prepare my dad at all.” She further clarified that since her father was underprepared, he decided to watch the show with her grandparents. While Sydney's grandfather turned a side eye, her grandmother emerged to be her biggest supporter. Her grandmother was not all taken aback by the content and continued to watch.

With the amount of support Sydney receives from her grandmother, she chooses to bring her along to everywhere she goes. She said, "I bring her all over the world to my different sets and I make her an extra." It only goes on to show how much the bond between Sydney and her grandmother has strengthened over time. While 'Euphoria' has been renewed for Season 3 by 'HBO', it is expected to witness a time jump and would not depict the characters as high school goers anymore. Sydney and her fans both are excited to witness what Season 3 holds for Cassie's future.
