Yi-hoo breaks down

After realizing that her child will never grow, Yi-hoo is overcome with grief. She forces her daughter to eat even though she knows it won't help. Jae-hyun tries to console her but she won't stop. After a while, Jae-hyun retires to the patio. That night, she is shown sleeping with the baby and Jae-hyun comes and lies next to her. The next morning, Jae-hyun wakes up alone with the baby in the crib while Yi-hoo sneaked out and admitted herself to the Protocol Center. Jae-hyun rushes out to get her.

Yonder is no heaven

Jae-hyun reaches the center and finds Dr Jang Jin-ho. Both start walking toward the building, and after a while, Jae-hyun screams in agony and terms the Yonder as the opposite of heaven. It's not a heaven, but a system of isolation for her. When Jae-hyun asks Dr Jang why her child won't grow, he says it is because that's what his wife had in her memory. It's everlasting, so it will not change. Hearing this, Jae-hyun breaks down.

Yi-hoo and Jae-hyun accept fate

After having an emotional conversation at the Protocol Center, Jae-hyun and Yi-hoo return to their house. They are shown sitting on a bench when Yi-hoon shows him a liquid that will take her some place dark. They both agree and drink it. Soon the clouds start piling up and the place becomes dark, like during an eclipse. In the next scene, Jae-hyun is shown waking up in a hospital surrounded by Cho Eun and Hacker.

'Yonder' is now available on Paramount+.
