Fans are rooting for Alexander Skarsgard to take home the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama after the Emmy Nominations 2022. The actor was nominated for his role in HBO's hit drama, 'Succession' alongside Adrien Brody and James Cromwell for the same show.

The nominees included Brody ('Succession'), Cromwell ('Succession'), Colman Domingo ('Euphoria'), Arian Moayed ('Succession'), and Tom Pelphrey -('Ozark'). Fans were supremely confident that the 'Big Little Lies' star would win the coveted trophy. "This one is so tough. I loved each of these appearances on Succession. They each inhabited the character so well I believed that person existed," one of the fans wrote. "Alexander Skarsgard should’ve gotten a nom for Atlanta too," one of the tweets read.

Some felt 'Barry' star Bill Hader should have been part of the list. "Bill Hader should be here. Barry is not a comedic character, he’s incredibly dark and scary. You called it a comedy when it was first released because Bill has a comedy background, but after the first episode you should have seen it’s mostly drama especially season 3. #Barry". "alex taking it" one of the tweets read. "Alexander Skarsgard is the only reason I watched Succession. He always brings something extra to his performance. Great news!" a fan said.

"Alexander Skarsgard, Adam Scott, Matthew MacFayden, and Nicholas Braun are all Emmy nominated? The power of being one of my celebrity crushes is truly unmatched," a comment said. "I'm so excited for Alex and the whole show. So many (deserved) nominations!" one of fans exclaimed. "Congrats to #alexanderskarsgård on his EMMY nomination as a Guest Actor in a Drama for his role of Lukas Matsson in @succession @HBO" another tweet read.

'Succession' Season 3 saw quite the cameos and the latest one that was expected was a brief, but impactful role by 'True Blood' star Alexander Skarsgård. Earlier this season, there was another cameo by Adrien Brody who played Josh Aaronson, a billionaire activist investor who becomes a key player in the Waystar ownership tussle “I thought my family was fucked up. This is next level,” he famously tells on the show.
