SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: It looks like Mingi’s 23rd birthday was pretty eventful. Ateez fans rejoiced as they were able to get him a music show win on his birthday. It was extra special as it was the second time their newest single ‘Guerrilla’ won a trophy on ‘The Show’ which is hosted by Ateez member Yeosang. Mingi’s birthday VLive was also pretty fun and chaotic as the group continued with their ‘Princess Minki’ agenda and gifted him dolls, fairy props and toy gifts that he found amusing. And on top of it, we had the Twitter pages of the Eiffel Tower and Empire State Building fighting for his attention.

On August 9, to celebrate Mingi’s birthday, member Yunho posted a pre-debut photo of the two of them in front of the Eiffel Tower replica in Macau where four Ateez members had done dance covers of NCT, BTS and WannaOne. Yunho captioned the tweet, “Mingi-ya, fighting.” We had social media accounts of Heineken and Danette France also jumping in to wish him. But it was the Eiffel Tower and Empire State Building’s tweets that had everyone tickled. The Eiffel Tower account tweeted the eye emoji with the Empire State Building responding, “Excuse me?”

Empire State Building and Eiffel Tower accounts bicker

The two social media accounts started bantering trying to prove that they were the bigger Ateez fan. Empire State Building then tweeted, “HAPPY MINGI DAY.” In response, the Eiffel Tower asked, “You might be taller than me, but you'll always stay the youngest 😉 What's your favorite song ?” which had the American skyscraper asking “Are we fighting?” The Eiffel had a punny comeback, “I love you too much, I wouldn't dare to start a Guerrilla warfare between us.”

The Empire State also referenced ‘King Kong’, as they retorted, “You know I’m sensitive about gorillas.” With Ateez fans loving the bickering and asking the social media interns to get double pay, Empire State tweeted, “I’m a building,” and that their pronouns were “She/her.”

At one point, Ateez also came online to tweet the shocked face and popcorn emojis. We then had the Eiffel Tower responding that their favorite song was ‘Deja Vu’, while the Empire State shared that their favorite song was Ateez’s latest lead single ‘Guerrilla.” They also went one step ahead and made a funny TikTok of the Empire State dancing to ‘Guerrilla’ and tweeted to Ateez, “We loved you first.”

'Wait until Burj Khalifa finds out'

Fans loved the whole interaction as they made tweets like, “How it started vs How its going They fallen in love and they lived happily together❤The end.” Another posted, “Ateez sitting in the corner chanting FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT to the eiffel tower and esb.” One joked, “Like genuinely if you told someone that's esb and eiffel tower were fighting over ateez and ateez was sitting watching I would not belive you.”

Another fan said, “Yunho mindlessly greeting mingi a happy birthday on twt led to a fight between esb and eiffel tower... the power ateez holds.” One asked, “Can't believe I had to watch esb and eiffel tower beef over ateez Like what was that.” Another commented, “Just wait until @BurjKhalifa finds out about ATEEZ it will be over for the both of you.” One shared, “The empire state building and la eiffel tower are fighting over ATEEZ, then there's heineken…”
