The legacy of Jamal Edwards
To some, Jamal Edwards is a household name, and those who it isn’t will probably learn everything they have to in the next thirty minutes of tuning into 'Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All' Part 2. For Ed Sheeran, his personal life and relationships carry a lot of importance, and that goes beyond his parents, wife, and children. Sheeran holds his friendships in very high regard, and one of his best friends was Edwards.
Jamal Edwards passed away on February 20, 2022, leaving a vaccum in the music industry like never before. Sheeran took his passing away incredibly roughly. Edwards had passed away in the morning, and by afternoon, Sheeran was with Edward’s mother and the rest of his family. While it is no secret that Sheeran was devasted by this loss, 'Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All' Part 2 focuses a little more on honoring his memory, and paying respect to not only Edwards’ but also his entire family.
Throughout the episode, you will see clips of Edwards and as well as the two talented men together, and it’s a bittersweet experience. Edwards’ legacy is etched in docu-series, all thanks to his best friend, Ed Sheeran.
Stormzy makes an entrance!
While the first half of 'Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All' Part 2 might have been an emotional journey, the second half of this part features Stormzy, and suddenly the tone of the episode changes. We loved every second of it! Stormzy and Sheeran might seem like an unlikely pair, to begin with, but if you are a fan of either of them, you simply know they go so well together. Fans are in for a treat because a good portion of this part showcases the talented duo performing together and lighting up the stage on fire! This is exactly the kind of uplighting viewers needed, and 'Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All' Part 2 delivered more than expected.
