The review contains spoilers for 'Dynasty' Season 3 Episode 2 — 'Caution Never Won A War'.

There is legal trouble for Blake (Grant Show) and Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) as the episode begins. Blake is arrested and processed after his DNA is found inside Max's bag. His lawyer tells him his bail hearing is in two days but a lot happens in that time. Blake crosses paths with Michael Culhane (Robert Christopher Riley) in jail and it turns out that they are cellmates.

Culhane spreads the word about Blake's real identity among other prisoners which leads to a brawl. When Blake tries to talk it out with Culhane, they end up fighting on jail premises. The guards spot them and even take a picture of Blake after which he gets a restraining order. Later, Blake threatens Culhane and tells him to keep his mouth shut. Their other cellmate Joey overhears the conversation. Later, at his hearing, the judge denies him bail and Blake finds out Joey was an undercover federal agent who struck a deal with Culhane to get Blake to admit his wrongdoings.

Meanwhile, Anders (Alan Dale) visits Sam (Rafael De La Fuente) at the hotel where they break ground and discover a room filled with valuable historical artifacts. The two find a treasure hidden behind a wall that could delay the opening of the hotel.

Liam's memory loss irks Fallon (Adam Huber) and she first tries to show him pictures, but his ex-girlfriend Ashley Cunningham (Taylor Black) — who is the only one Liam remembers — tells him that she is psychotic. Fallon brings him Chilean Bass, a meal that he cooked for her, and even tries to lure him with his favorite perfume, Rosewater, but he still can’t remember her. To wash away her efforts, his mother Laura Van Kirk (Sharon Lawrence) paints a picture of her as a deranged stalker and gets her dragged out by security.

Later, Fallon kidnaps Liam from the hospital and takes them to where they first met. Just as he starts to recall their meeting, Laura pops up with the help of a tracker and they have an argument about taking Liam. Meanwhile, Adam (Sam Underwood) reschedules a board meeting behind Cristal’s (Daniella Alonso) back and takes on the role of the acting CEO.

At Fallon's hearing, the judge spares her from a 5-year jail term and instead she is sentenced to 100 hours of community service. Laura serves her a restraining order to keep her distance from Liam. There's another shocker as the episode ends with a marriage in jail! Cristal vows to help Blake out and get him out of the prison no matter what she has to do for it. Written by David M. Israel and directed by Melanie Mayron, the episode is a mixed bag of bitchery, betrayal, rivalry and power moves.
