'RHONY' star Luann de Lesseps kicked out of gay bar for yelling 'f**k you', denies claims
In a surprising turn of events, 'The Real Housewives of New York' star Luann de Lesseps was kicked out of a gay piano bar after she drunkenly took over the mic, belting out melodies, shouting at guests "f**k you." Witnesses said the 56-year-old reality star was already tipsy when she arrived at Manhattan's Townhouse piano bar on Wednesday, March 16. Luann has, however, denied all the claims.
One of them told Page 6 that “She monopolized the piano, but that isn’t how it works, you sing [one song] and move on.” The 'RHONY' star allegedly grabbed the mic and sang continuously, “Luann thought she was doing her act. She tried to sing [her own song] ‘Money Can’t Buy You, Class,’ but they didn’t know it, they know standards.”

Another witness said that Luann allegedly sought to persuade the pianist that "it's a hit!" but they were not convinced. At a piano bar, it's customary to sing a song or two before moving on, but de Lesseps refused to give up the mic and "belted out jumbled versions of songs."
When the audience started booing her, the star yelled and was heard saying "f**k you" to the audience while still holding the mic. Things took the wrong turn when Luann began “yelling at the gays, ‘You don’t know me! I’m a cabaret star!'” added a source.
She was reportedly booted out for "getting aggressive with the bar's customers" towards the end of the night.
However, the actress vehemently denied being kicked out as she told DailyMail.Com in an email, “I went out feeling all jovani, but clearly you can’t buy a lesson with money, especially with an audience that doesn’t appreciate my music.”
Luann told Page Six that she and Kinky Boots producer Jim Kierstead arrived together at the establishment about 10:30 pm when a lot of people were singing and it was a fun, rowdy crowd. She said after Kierstead urged her to sing, she crooned a few broadway songs. “I realize I was a little tipsy, but we were having fun and it was getting late. i was rehearsing and felt like singing a few songs,” she continued. “then Jim said to me, ‘Lu, I have an early rehearsal,’ and then we left around midnight, 11:30 pm”
Kierstead stated, “After a birthday party for a NY theatre personality, Luann and I went to the Townhouse for a nightcap. She was met by legions of her fans and was convinced to sing for them.“I was finally able to bring her home as I had an early morning Thursday for the workshop of a new musical. Of course, she was the belle of the ball as usual.”
The actress is known for alcoholism. Back in 2017, Luann was detained for being drunk in Palm Beach on Christmas Eve, reportedly assaulting a police officer and saying, “I am going to kill you all.” In 2019, she was arrested for allegedly kicking a police officer in an inebriated state. She entered an alcohol abuse treatment program after breaking the law and then agreed to plead guilty to the felony charges in exchange for the charge of beating an officer — for allegedly kicking a police officer – which was dropped the following year.
