Drake to drop 'Certified Lover Boy' on Friday, fans prep for Donda battle
Drake took to Instagram to confirm that his new album 'Certified Lover Boy' will be out this Friday, September 3, 2021. And now, Drake fans, who had been waiting for a long time for his new album to drop, can openly argue about him being a better rapper than Kanye — especially following the release of Kanye's latest 'Donda' album. The two celebrity rappers are already engaged in an ongoing feud of sorts so it was only time before their fandoms got involved as well.
Writing to his 90.2 million followers, Drake shared a picture that showed emojis of a diverse range of 12 pregnant women, all holding their baby bumps. Making the announcement, he wrote, "CERTIFIED LOVER BOY SEPTEMBER 3." It took no time for Champagne Papi’s latest post to go viral as the post got more than 478,282 likes in less than 30 minutes.

The album has been a long-awaited one among fans of the rapper. The LP will mark Drake’s first proper studio effort since 2018’s 'Scorpion'. And fans of the rapper are excited, to say the least. Even though not even one song is out, his fans are already hyping it up as the best album of the year.
"I’m getting album of the year vibes," one user wrote on Drake's Instagram post. Another wrote, "Let's goooo papa @champagnepapi ❤️❤️" Many wrote comments with only fire emojis. On Twitter as well, the news has gone viral. "THE GOAT HAS ARRIVED," one user wrote. Another fan of his wrote, "IM ON TOP OF THE WORLD"
It took fans no time to compare him with Kanye. "drake will buy kanye’s album will most likely be 10x better," one wrote. To which another critiqued and predicted, "Cap it was decent I liked a few songs it’s not as good as Kanye made it to seem it was good but overhyped drakes will be better." Another wrote, "Kanye fans better be hoping this a some sort of hoax. Drake is a real gangster and Kanye is not safe." One more wrote, "Drake going to sell more units then Donda on day one Ong sheeeshhh "

And while many fans are clearly just looking forward to the album drop, there are those who are finding faults with the timings. A fan wrote, "Kanye proved he can do Drake but drake could never do a Kanye #DONDA"
