Something to celebrate in these gloomy times, at least for 'Dragon Ball' fans. Five years ago today, 'Dragon Ball Super' aired, making fans feel rather nostalgic and remembering the good moments from the show. The series followed the adventures of Goku after the defeat of Majin Buu. We got to see a retelling of the films 'Battle of Gods' (2013) and 'Resurrection 'F' (2015), where Goku gains access to divine powers, and he must learn to use these powers under the gods of his universe while traveling across the world, in order to defeat practically invincible foes.

Fans are beginning to watch a marathon of their favorite show and are tweeting in excitement. "I saw Dragon Ball Super trending and nearly had a heart attack, but it’s just cause it’s been 5 years. I miss the show sooooo much."

Others are still wondering when the show will return again. "When will dragon ball super new season release?" a fan tweeted.

"Congratulations to Dragon Ball Super on celebrating their 5th anniversary today and I'm so proud of you guys now. #DragonBallSuper," another wrote.

"Considering the impact that Dragon Ball Super has had on the Dragon Ball series outright, I do firmly believe that we will have a follow-up to this Interquel that will explain why Goku, Vegeta, and other relevant characters no longer have Divine Energy to retain the canon of GT," said a fan.

"Happy 5 year anniversary to Dragon Ball Super! This was my favorite version of the opening! When Super comes back I truly hope they at least use this song for the first arc," a fan tweeted, sharing a video of the opening theme.

Others remembered their favorite scenes from the series, especially the one where Goku claimed that he never kissed anyone before. "Favorite scene in dragon ball super," a fan wrote.

"Dragon ball super was good, not great, dragon ball z was better by far because there was an actual sense of progression. Dragon ball super was just skits and sudden power, the fights near the end was fucking nice," another noted.
