'Dragnificent!': Corrine goes from being called masculine and not beautiful to become a pinnacle of femininity
Drag queens Alexis Michelle Thorgy Thor, Jujubee, and BeBe Zahara Benet decided to come together to help transform lives as women struggle with their confidence. In the latest episode on April 19, the queens met Corrine, a wrestler who has always struggled with her confidence due to her body image.
Corrine admitted that her confidence would be an all-time high when she was in the ring but the same was not carried once she stepped out of it.
She confessed that while growing up she was often a target of comments that would question her femininity. She revealed she was often called "manly", "masculine" and pointed at for how she was not feminine like the other girls.
To make things worse for her, Corrine admitted she started wearing a size 8 shoe at a very young age and it was considered strange for a girl at that time. She was quick to reveal her body image issues and suggested she was having a hard time picking up a dress because she could not find something that would make her feel like a bride.
Even though Corrine admitted she was unlike any other bride seen before, she confessed she wanted to feel beautiful and make sure her feminine side was the one that stood out during her wedding day. Alexis and Jujubee decided to help her to find the perfect dress for her.
Unfortunately, it did not go the way they had planned. Despite having several options in front of her, Corrine struggled to find beauty in any one of them. She revealed she did not feel pretty as a bride while wearing the dresses she was given to try.
At one point, she stormed out of the room crying and admitting it was hard for her to feel like a woman given all those things she had been told in the past. Corrine admitted she was fearless in the ring but the negative comments told by people still stuck with her.
Alexis advised her to believe she is beautiful while handing over a dress that she thought Corrine would like. When Corrine wore that dress and stood in front of the mirror, she broke down crying as she confessed she finally felt like she was a "pinnacle of femininity".
She further revealed that she was happy to see herself look pretty as she was always told her body was not beautiful. There is no doubt the queens did a "drag fantastic" job in making Corrine believe she is beautiful just the way she is.
'Dragnificent!' airs on Mondays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
