NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sam Smith shows he is a supportive boyfriend as the 'Unholy' hitmaker attends his rumored partner Christian Cowan’s runway show during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, February 14. This comes only a month after the pair sparked dating rumors.
Smith, who sat in the front row at the British-born designer’s show, wore a silver sequin coat over a bright red jumpsuit with matching gloves and platform heels, all incidentally designed by Cowan himself. The 30-year-old singer, who was attending Cowan's show for the first time, sat next to Lil Nas X, Teyana Taylor, Bella Thorne, and Orville Peck. Cowan has been presenting at NYFW for several years and is famous for his camp looks which include bright flashy designs. Smith was previously spotted attending Brit Awards in an inflatable latex suit before taking a special trip to New York Fashion Week for his rumored fashion designer boyfriend.

When did Smith and Cowan meet?
Smith and Cowan sparked dating speculations after they were spotted cozying up together during an intimate stroll through New York City ahead of the former’s “SNL” performance in January. It is unclear when the pair first met, however, their romance reportedly started back in late 2022 after the two were photographed together with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House in December for the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act.

The duo has shown their support for each other's fashion choices as well. Smith posted a snap posing in one of his rumored boyfriend Cowan's designs. "Christian Cowan. The photo was reshared on Cowan's Instagram page. The designer also commented with a red heart emoji on Smith's stunning post.
Lately, the 'Stay With Me' hitmaker has been making strong fashion statements during his public appearances. Smith also caused a stir with his flashy outfit at the Brit Awards last week and has garnered a lot of attention due to his new musical era. His controversial 'I’m Not Here to Make Friends' music video included a series of over-the-top looks which included corsets, nipple pasties, and feathery headpieces.
