As Andy and fellow guest Michael Rapaport pressed Sonja for further information, she described the affair as "one big, sloppy mess." Sonja's website identified John McEnroe as a previous suitor. They dated following his divorce from Tatum O'Neal in 1994 and before her marriage to John in 1998, according to reports. In 2019, John verified the news on 'WWHL'.
On her official website, the reality TV personality revealed that she dated music great Eric Clapton before marrying her ex-husband, banker John. She also mentioned Eric on 'RHONY' Season 5 when connecting with Aviva. In 2013, she tweeted about the famous name-drop event, referring to it as one of her notorious "#sonjaisms."
When she married JP Morgan's grandson, John, in 1998, the future 'RHONY' star got her surname. She met the investor while working as a hostess at San Pietro, an Italian restaurant. The couple had one daughter, Quincy Adams Morgan, and were married for eight years until divorcing in 2006.
