Frequent collaborators and a musical pairing that has churned out some of the best club-ready tracks of all time, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are a match made in heaven. The two have gotten together recently to tease new music and we are already on the hype train. But before we see the arrival of their highly anticipated collaborative efforts, we thought we'd whet your appetites with five of the best Timbaland and Justin Timberlake collaborations.

'Carry Out'

There is truly something special about Timbaland's production coupled with Just Timberlake's smooth vocals that remain infectious to date. The last time we got to hear the two collaborating together was in 2009 with this hot number. 'Carry Out' peaked within the top 10 of the charts in Canada, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. It peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent a total of 26 weeks on the chart. Watch the official music video below.

'Chop Me Up'

For this track, which featured on his critically-acclaimed album 'FutureSex/LoveSounds', Timberlake teamed up with Timbaland once again as well as legendary hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia. Over pulsating chords on the piano, a thumping beat and synth strings, Timberlake sings "I know you see me looking, girl go on and act right. A little closer, let me see you in the spotlight. Now turn around and let me see just what your curved like. Go grab your friends and y'all can come to the back, oh."

The vocal contributions from both Timbaland and Three 6 Mafia hit hard, the music is slick and resounding and 'Chop Me Up' is a timeless classic, calling for many a repeat.

'Release'

'Release' is an uptempo house and funk song that incorporates elements of dance and urban music. Although it received generally positive reviews upon its release, 'Release' is a track that is worthy of more attention. With its uptempo pace and unconventional rhythmic style, this catchy song can be likened to a funky cousin of a Basement Jaxx track.

'Bounce'

The majority of Timbaland's music is almost a collective ode to the feeling of bouncing to music. Nearly every track gets you charged to bust a move on the dancefloor and it isn't a surprise that one of his songs would officially get the title of 'Bounce'. The song features a chorus from Justin Timberlake and rap verses from Dr. Dre and Missy Elliott. It was used in the soundtrack of the popular dance film 'Step Up 2: The Streets'.

Sonically, 'Bounce' is dark and seductive with eery instrumentals married to dirty-talking vocals. Listen to 'Bounce' here.

'Give It To Me'

A mix of collaborators we could certainly see more of, this track is joined by Nelly Furtado. All three artistes co-wrote the song together with rapper Attitude and producer Danja, who produced the song with Timbaland. 'Give It to Me' took the crown at top position on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Timbaland's first and only number-one single in the United States as a lead artist, his second overall after Furtado's 'Promiscuous'.

There is certainly a sense of closeness with the three artistes, their vocals flow smoothly into one another, and 'Give It To Me' is an epic example that three powerful stars can blend their styles into one perfect track.

Destination Jam is a daily list of songs that will keep you entertained and grooving up top in lieu of feeling drained and losing the plot. Look out for a fresh selection of great tunes from MEAWW to refresh your mood every day!
