Stephen Dorff's latest cop drama 'Deputy' was an immediate hit with fans when it premiered on Fox network last week.

With fans begging Fox not to cancel the show following a stellar first season, as the network is notoriously known for, their pleas were also earnest in terms of not removing Dorff as the lead.

But this week's Twitter response has been entirely different for the show, with most fans taking to the social media network to establish that if the show continues its blatant 'bias' towards illegal detainees at ICE facilities, they'll be forced to boycott the show and even the network.

The show follows Dorff as newly-appointed LA County Sheriff Bill Hollister who is a lawman, preferring to go about his duties without really caring much for protocol or rules. His mission in life is to protect innocents and wipe out bad guys, and the first episode saw him vouching for destroying public property worth thousands of dollars just to protect immigrants.

This seems to have turned most people off because they can't fathom that Fox or 'Deputy' could shove such free-thinking liberal agenda down their throats by being biased towards 'illegal aliens'.

The backlash continued to pour in even a week later amidst a sea of enthusiastic fans eagerly waiting for the second episode and live-tweeting as they watched. The critics took the chance to hit the internet with their negative comments about the show.

One wrote: "Don't waste time watching the new show #Deputy. That three minutes was spent with the main character lecturing us and showing how politically correct he is on illegal immigration. Thank you #Fox for letting me know not to waste any more time on that dreck."

Another viewer wrote: "Thought I would enjoy the new show Deputy on Fox... until they politicized 30 seconds in... I just hate when they ruin potentially good shows to advance an agenda." Another critic who themselves are a person of law shared their opinion, writing: "Police are sworn to uphold the law... protecting #illegals from #ICE is a violation of both the law and their #Oath. This 26 yr #lawman was not impressed."

As a final note of disdain, a critic simply called for people to boycott the show, writing: "A cop breaking the law by claiming he won't arrest illegal aliens because he doesn't want to break up families? What liberals are now running Fox TV??? Disgusting! Boycott The Deputy!!"

'Deputy' airs every Thursday at 9pm only on Fox.
