Johnny Depp v Amber Heard Trial had zillions of eyes on it, all through its three-month course, and is now being turned into a Tubi original movie. The Tubi original movie, 'Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial', stars Mark Hapka as Johnny Depp, and Megan Davis as Amber Heard. Melissa Marty plays Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez, and Mary Carrig is Elaine Bredehoft from Heard's legal team. The movie has been directed by Sara Lohman and will stream for free on the channel.

Johnny Depp, as plaintiff, filed a complaint of defamation against defendant Amber Heard claiming $50 million in damages; Heard filed counterclaims against Depp claiming $100 million in damages. Heard was found liable in all three matters of defamation raised. Depp was awarded $10 million (of the $50 million claim) in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damage and Depp was found liable in one of three matters of defamation raised thus Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages. It is recap time for the fans as they will get to rewatch the 90 days trial in a two-hour span on their laptop or phone screen.

A fan said, "We just watched the real thing like 3 weeks ago." A fan questioned, "Lol um ok. Little early for a "remake" isn't it? Seeing as the original "movie" was only released like.... 3-4 months ago?" A fan tweeted, "I’d rather rewatch the 6 week trial instead of that crap movie." Another fan adds, "Is this a joke? We all literally just saw it play out in court live. Who would watch this?"
