Deion Warren dove deep into his performance on 'The Voice' with 'Shallow' that got him a three-chair turn from the judges. The 28-year-old impressed with his ability to take on the parts sung by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the original 'Shallow'. Appropriately the judges agreed that a star was indeed born on 'The Voice' stage.

It seems that Deion who is from North Carolina also has something in common with two of the judges. Like Nick Jonas and John Legend, Deion is a preacher's son and has grown up deeply inspired by the church. Deion's ability as a powerful gospel singer is sure to take him far in the competition. Deion has also lent his voice to create awareness against police brutality. You can catch his cover of 'My World Needs You' below:

If you're wondering why Blake Shelton didn't turn his chair for Warren, it's not because he wasn't impressed. Shelton, referring to a promise he made during contestant Cam Anthony's performance, said, "I made a promise to an artiste that, if they would pick me, I would keep the lane clear for them. For once, I'm gonna stick with my word."

John Legend teased Shelton saying that 2021 was certainly throwing up a lot of surprises. It was quite a battle over Deion but Team John Legend finally won.

It wasn't just the judges that were impressed with this performance though. One fan on Instagram said, "This is the best cover of this song o have ever and probably will hear. I want this version recorded period."

Another fan on Instagram wondered as we're sure many did, "@ladygaga I’d love to hear what she has to say about this man’s voice from one incredibly talented singer to another." Another said, "What! Is! That! Voice! I could listen to that voice all day every day... so magnificently breathtaking and beautiful!"

Some fans already have musical suggestions for Deion. One fan on Twitter said, "He sounds like Boyz2Men. That’s what he should sing."

Well sometimes all it takes is one song to change your life and for this young man with his deep nuanced voice, 'Shallow' couldn't have been a better song choice. You can catch Deion's performance on 'The Voice' below.  'The Voice' airs on Mondays at 8/7c and Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
