'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 Episode 18: Jake Anderson trusts Sig again, fans say he still has a 'lot to learn'
Spoilers for 'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 Episode 18 'Like Father Like Daughter'
Just when it looked like Jake Anderson of the Saga had some success, the plan to capitalize on the gains had a spanner thrown in the works in the form of Sig Hansen and daughter Mandy planning to trick him into doing their prospecting for him. Keeping in mind the bad blood between the two, Jake contemplates for a bit before trusting him again and heads far east as instructed. Needless to say, fans hope that Jake would learn rather than trust a man who never had his best interests at heart.
@JakeVAnderson You may be a captain, but clearly you still have a lot to learn. Though, I do believe you have a long future ahead of you. Seriously, only about 1000000000000000000000 more pots or so with good numbers and you'll be able to retire. #DeadliestCatch

It does look like the art of deception runs in the family as Mandy skilfully maneuvers Jake and manipulates him with instructions. "damn do I have to stop watching #DeadliestCatch? sig&his kid are such d**ks," wrote a fan who followed the entire episode.

"@JakeVAnderson Clearly, the master is still teaching the student. When are you going to learn to break off from your mentor? Lol! #DeadliestCatch" mocked a fan after watching the Saga skipper get controlled again.

And how's this for a comparison: "Every time I see @fvnorthwestern and @JakeVAnderson working together I always think of Lucy holding the football before Charlie Brown kicks #DeadliestCatch"

There was also a concern for Jake. Naturally, fans have developed that sense of something is wrong especially after watching these fishermen for more than a few seasons. "#DeadliestCatch What the hell happened to @JakeVAnderson voice? This season his voice started sounding like a 70-year-old fisherman who's smoked 10 packs a day for 50 years."

What the hell happened to @JakeVAnderson voice?
This season his voice started sounding like a 70 year old fisherman who's smoked 10 packs a day for 50 years.
Captain Keith of the Wizard was the other man struggling with a Hernia issue this season that saw him writhe in pain on screen. Keith received some advice as well. "@crabwizard just go in. I get that you have quotas and deadlines to make, but sometimes you have to give in to what your body is telling you. No amount of crab is worth your health. #DeadliestCatch."
