If anything, things have only got a lot rougher for the captains and the crew in the current season of 'Deadliest Catch' Season 16. The hostile Bering Sea, the raging storms and the blistering cold have all but made life difficult.  The only plus is the abundance of Opilio crab and the cod they are fighting for to go one-up over the Russians.

In Episode 10, each captain had his own obstacle to vault. If it was altering the course keeping the crew's safety in mind for Josh Harris, it was rudder trouble for Scott Campbell Junior. For Wild Bill Wichrowski of the Summer Bay and Jake Anderson of the Saga, it was all about the much-needed start. The upcoming episode titled, 'Chase Boat Rescue' hints at bad news for Cornelia Marie greenhorn, Maria, and Summer Bays engineer, Nick and Scott Campbell Junior who's faced some major issues with the Lady Alaska throughout the winter season.

The official synopsis reads: "Listing heavily and taking on water, Junior calls on chase boat rescue for the first time in the series' history; Wild Bill sends Nick 20 feet off the deck in spite of his fear of heights; Josh and Casey hit a massive wave that knocks out greenhorn Maria." From this, it is safe to speculate the 60-minute episode tomorrow will split the time equally between these three skippers and their crews. Lady Alaska was shown to have had major shorts and engine issues throughout the season, but this time, it looks like it's danger with a capital D.

It still remains to be seen why Wild Bill would task Nick with something so dangerous. One possible explanation is that the Summer Bay would have run into some technical snag and only Nick could be the one experienced enough to fix it. Meanwhile, fans are anxious to know Maria's fate. The active greenhorn has been a great addition to the Cornelia Marie and her injury may prove to dent the crew's confidence.

In the previous episode, Josh Harris and the Cornelia Marie make note of the Siberian blast that's fast approaching. The storm, known for its ferocity and cold whiplash, gets Josh to plot an alternate course irking fellow skipper, Casey McManus. However, the move does pay off as the CM rakes in the moolah with staggering numbers of Opilio crabs in their pot. But not before the rough weather lashes the vessel around. By the looks of it, the CM is not out of danger yet.

'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 airs Tuesdays 8 pm ET on Discovery.
