Spoilers for 'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 Episode 1 'The Russians Are Coming'

It has been 15 intense seasons of Discovery's 'Deadliest Catch' and the new installment marks the return of some of the old captains returning to pip Russia when it comes to grabbing the Alaskan King Crabs. Of the seven captains, Keith and Monte Colburn of the Wizard and Scott Campbell Jr of Seabrooke, are back and for them, the mission is a lot more personal.

The two-hour premiere gave a look at what each of the seven captains was up to and when it came to introducing Keith and Monte, the brothers were seen at their father's funeral. Gary Colburn passed away during last season after a yearlong battle with cancer. It was heartening to see the duo splitting their time between the wheelhouse and their father. Not just was it a way to keep the work going, but it also helped them spend some precious time with their father.

When the news of his death broke, the show's fans took to Twitter to pay their respects and come this season, it's about honoring their father for the brothers. Keith and Monte will commandeer the Wizard and look at hitting paydirt when they compete not just with six other crews, but also the Russians.

For Scott Campbell Jr, life has been hard. A debilitating back injury forced him out of the game and he's seen three surgeries in the last four years. He successfully piloted the Seabrooke for four seasons and he's back in Season 16 doing what he loves best. One of the scenes shows him bidding an emotional goodbye to his family and he's here not just to get to the jackpot, but also prove to himself and competition that he wasn't down and out.  It is inspirational in many ways that these men have braved life's blows and are back despite the hardships.

The other captains include Capt Jake Anderson and Johnathan Hillstrand helming the Saga, Sig Hansen and relief-skipper Mandy (his daughter) driving the Northwestern, Bill Wichrowski and his Summer Bay, Josh Harris and Casey McManus with Cornelia Marie and Captain Steve "Harley" Davidson of the Southern Wind.

How do you think the Colburn brothers and Campbell will fare this season?
