Covid-19 might have you thinking that this is the end of the world but in Netflix's first German sci-fi series 'Dark', "the final cycle is about to begin." Created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, 'Dark' is perhaps Netflix's best foreign language project in its library. Spanning three generations of four estranged families, the story is one twisted, mind-bending mash of science fiction, religion, existentialism, time travel and literally whatnot — a masterpiece that explores the existential implications of time and its effects on human nature.

Netflix just announced the release date for Season 3, which is the final season of the 'Dark' trilogy and will premiere on Netflix on June 27, 2020, the date that is "the day of the apocalypse" on the show. At the end of Season 2, there were extremely shocking revelations made about Jonas, Martha and the possibility of alternate realities within the show, that affect each other.

Starring Louis Hofmann, Karoline Eichhorn, Jördis Triebel, Maja Schöne, Moritz Jahn, Andreas Pietschmann and Lisa Vicari among others, the series has left us in awe with each of its seasons. Fans of the show have waited for exactly a year for the new Season 2 drop and truth be told, it looks like the time-twisting madness has only just begun. "THE BEST SERIES NETFLIX HAS EVER PRODUCED IS BACK," commented a fan.

You might have come to watch the trailer to seek some answers, but chances are it is going to leave you with more questions. True to its mind-bending nature and fusion of science fiction and religion, the teaser hardly gives any insight on what is to happen on the final season. And although it is confusing for many, it is also the season when we will get all the answers to the pressing questions. "You'll understand it all when it's time to understand," it is said in the trailer.

"I am the only one who doesn't understand a thing after watching this trailer," said a fan. While some fans are already busy coming up with theories about the appearances made in the teaser, others are asking questions. "Who are those three guys, the younger one is Ulrich's brother Mads Neilson who was lost in 1986 but found dead in 2020, but can't recognize the other two! And is ADAM actually the good guy? I'm confused!" said one. "This trailer is already having me guess and re-guess so many things... Looks like Dark is back! So excited!" added another.
