'Dare Me' Episode 4: Motel incident worries Beth's fans who lash out at her parents for poor upbringing
Only four episodes in and USA Network’s 'Dare Me' has become the talk of the town. Although the previous episodes offered enough and more in terms of sweat, blood, booze and sex, Episode 4 took a step further by causing immense damage to one of its strongest characters.
In Episode 4 'Rapprochement', Beth Cassidy’s (Marlo Kelly) usual late-night adventure goes terribly wrong, when she ends up fooling around with Sargeant Kurtz (Chris Zylka) under the influence of substance. Unable to cope with both mental and physical pain caused by his sexual aggression, a devastated Beth is seen distancing herself from everyone, including Addy Hanlon (Herizen F Guardiola).
Though the latest episode saw a lot go down between Addy and coach Colette French (Willa Fitzgerald), fans are rather worried about Beth. While some feel she can't live in pretense for too long by not acknowledging her true feelings, the rest have expressed their concern over her involvement with older men.
"Something bad happened with Beth and that older guy. She was bleeding and took a picture. #dareme," tweeted one viewer.
Another fan wrote, "Beth always has a mask on out of necessity and survival and I get that but I think that whatever happened at that motel is going to break that mask. She can't pretend she's ok when she's not forever #daremetv #DareMe."
"Just got done watching the latest episode of #DareMe. In the show pedophile Military recruiters are messing around with underage cheerleaders, if those recruiters got arrested, Trump would probably pardon them. Smh. #daremetv," another quipped.
Episode 4 also saw Beth's father take her and Tacy Cassidy to see a counselor, worried about the former's treatment of her half-sister. However, fans couldn't help but sympathize with a broken Beth as they blamed her parents for not doing their jobs right.
"Beth's mom and dad r fucked up no wonder she’s lashing out and making everyone feel bad #dareme," expressed an angry fan.
Another fan pointing at Beth's poor upbringing and commented, "That therapy session with Beth, her sister, and dad was such a mess. The dad takes no accountability for why Beth's mom has become how she is. Throwing money and gifts at Beth won't make this better. #dareme."
