'These people are broke': Aubrey O’Day slammed for photoshopping herself into Bali pictures
BALI, INDONESIA: Aubrey O’Day has come under scrutiny from users on social media after she was accused of photoshopping herself with altered vacation photos. She had posted a slew of vacation pictures on her now-private Instagram account.
The backlash comes after the former Danity Kane member, a girl band, announced in 2021 that she was leaving the United States to start a “new life” abroad.

Kris Jenner SLAMMED for 'extreme photoshop' and using filter that morphed her into daughter Khloe
The pictures in question were posted immediately after her July 2021 move, as per Page Six. Some pictures show Aubrey posing on beaches, wearing body-clinging cut-out clothing in lush rainforests, in vigorous yoga poses on top of picturesque rocks. The tags which she used show that all the images were taken in Bali, Indonesia, but social media is not convinced.
TikTok user Sophie posted about the same on her profile, who goes by the username residualdata. Sophie said that she is unable to understand why people use photoshop "for random vacation photos." She then shows various Instagram posts of Aubrey, saying that “it’s truly, like, every single picture,” adding, “I don’t even know if she went to Indonesia, like, at all.”
Sophie analyzed some pictures, including one of Aubrey wearing a red dress as she swings from bungee cords tied to palm trees overlooking a waterfall. The 'Making the Band' alum, 38, accompanies her impressive posts with thought-provoking captions.
Sophie added, “in an era where social comparison is so high and has real effects, why are we doing this?” Twitter users seem to agree with her. One user commented, "Photo shopping is cheaper than buying Gucci and Gold plated gold chains to make believe you have money. It’s all the same concept, fronting. Making believe you are someone or somebody of stature which most of these people are broke."
Another wrote, "That's the function of Photoshop." A third user chimed in, "Im sorry people were looking at her photos and thinking they were real?" A fourth commented, "She’s weird for photoshopping herself and acting like she’s places she isn’t. like just live and be who you are. other young girls will see that and have unrealistic expectations about life."
