'Ex on the Beach’: Aubrey redeems herself by letting go of Coffey in the final crush ceremony
Aubrey O’Day managed to get herself into a hot mess when she decided to “thruple” with her ex-girlfriend Lisa Coffey and fellow cast member Mark Jansen on season 3 of ‘Ex on the Beach’. Aubrey decided to give the thruple a shot since she couldn’t decide who to pick between both. She kept repeating time and again that her heart wants Mark while her head says go with Coffey. While initially, the thruple situation appeared to be going alright, things took a sudden turn when Aubrey began having some real feelings for Mark and Mark was uncomfortable with Aubrey’s dismissive behavior towards Coffey.
Things hit rock bottom when Mark wanted Aubrey to come clean to Coffey about violating her only rule she laid down for them. Although Coffey wasn’t very pleased with Aubrey’s decision to date both of them, she reluctantly agreed to it hoping that it would help Aubrey clear her head. But before agreeing to it she clearly laid down the rule that Aubrey and Mark couldn’t have sex while she was around. But Aubrey and Mark violated it by doing the dirty right next to Coffey’s bed while she was asleep. This was weighing down on Mark’s conscience and he tried persuading Aubrey to reveal it to Coffey, but the Danity Kane singer refused to do it. So Mark revealed it all to Coffey, unfortunately for him, Coffey chose not to believe him and kept supporting her girl.

Finally, during the lie-detector test, the cat was out of the bag when Aubrey was forced to reveal the truth. Coffey still continued to defend Aubrey’s actions. We couldn’t help but feel sorry and annoyed at the same time. Even though the truth was right in front of Coffey, she chose to turn a blind eye and kept trying to woo Aubrey. Aubrey, for her part, just kept stringing along Coffey with her lies and hypocrisy.
We were worried about Coffey and hoped that Aubrey wouldn’t break her heart. Thankfully, the singer decided to take the high road and came clean to Coffey during the final crush ceremony. Aubrey finally told her ex that she couldn’t give what Coffey deserved and set her free. Although Aubrey’s terrible behavior towards Coffey is unacceptable, she did redeem herself by coming clean to Coffey and will not be not stringing her along any further. Coffey deserves the best and now she can move on from her ex and focus on her next.
