'Dancing With the Stars': Nev Schulman's lyrical and hot rumba has judges praising duo's 'poetic' performance
Nev Schulman dedicated his performance for this week's 'Dancing With the Stars' performance to his wife Laura Perlongo. He and his partner, pro-dancer Jenna Johnson did the rumba to Perlongo's favorite Celine Dion song 'Because You Loved Me' and the performance caught everyone, right from the judges to the audiences watching from home by surprise. During rehearsals, Nev had mentioned a little about his wife and how they fell in love over Instagram and that they have been best friends and lovers ever since and he ended the confessional with a mushy, "I am here because you are here for me."
Nev and Jenna were sailing through the performance, all the effortless gliding looked absolutely beautiful and there was a smile on Nev's face that added to the romanticism of the entire performance. The judges were very happy with what they saw, especially Bruno Tonioli who was the first to say: "I feel so lovey-dovey." He even called their performance a "romantic movie." He loved how in sync both of them looked during the performance and Carrie Ann Inaba too added to the same saying that she found Nev's performance very poetic. "The rumba is a woman's dance and it's about giving frame. You also made it poetic, your lines were beautiful and you looked like a vision tonight," she said. Derek Hough had a little difficulty understanding the timing of the performance but as far as dancing was concerned, he loved it.
The audiences watching at home too enjoyed Nev's performance and they couldn't stop swooning over how he looked during the episode. Here's a couple of reactions. "Wow.
