‘Dancing With the Stars’: Johnny Weir's curls, outfit and vibes have fans calling him ‘prettier Loki’

Figure skating champion Johnny Weir and his pro-dancing partner Britt Stewart, who were were one of the highest-scoring couples in Episode 4 of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 29, returned with yet another mind-blowing performance in the latest (October 5) episode of the dancing reality show. Similar to many other contestants, Weir dedicated his performance to his mother, who he believes is his biggest support and critic. 

Prior to his performance to Elton John’s ‘Crocodile Rock’, Weir noted that his mother, Patti Weir, is a huge fan of the legendary singer and wanted to impress her with his dance to one of her favorite songs. His mother also appeared in a video on the episode and briefly spoke about his son’s eccentricity and how she has now gotten used to it. 

Clad in green shimmery matching attire, Weir and Stewart swept the judges off their feet with their performance to ‘Crocodile Rock’. While Bruno Tonioli said Weir was on fire, exploding with energy throughout the dance, Carrie Ann Inaba seconded her fellow judge by praising Weir. Meanwhile, Derek Hough said the figure skater had finally opened up and let the judges in with his recent dance performance. The impressed judges gave him and Stewart a total score of 24. 

Even though Weir’s highly-energetic performance, eye-catchy attire, and jokes headlined DWTS’s latest episode, fans of the show are rather busy drawing a comparison between him and Loki from ‘Avengers’ as they have noted the striking resemblance the skater shares with the character and Tom Hiddleston, the actor who has essayed the role in the movie franchise. One of the Twitter users wrote, "I’m always thrown off when I watch Johnny because he looks like Loki and I think it’s Tom Hiddleston on my screen", while another added, "It’s taken me this long to finally figure out that Johnny looks like Tom Hiddleston as Loki!!!! Like a prettier Loki. #DancingWithTheStars #DWTS #DWTS29."

Another fan wrote, "Johnny out here giving me major Loki vibes with those curls and that green suit  #DWTS." Adding to the previous tweets another wrote, "I’m not the only one getting Loki vibes from Johnny, am I? I mean the hair always gives a lil Loki look, but add in green and black aesthetic tonight....are we sure it’s not actually Loki dancing? #DWTS" Another said, "Johnny Weir’s hair and outfit are giving me such loki vibes."
