Jeannie Mai dazzled the dance floor when she first performed on 'Dancing With The Stars', and since then, she has continued to amaze the judges and the viewers. However, her journey on the show is coming to an end as the reality star announced she would be leaving the show due to health conditions. Mai made the announcement while appearing on 'Good Morning America'. "My doctors discovered a health concern with my throat which requires immediate attention and surgery," she said, as reported by E! "I am heartbroken that my DWTS journey has to end here."

She further added, "I have pushed myself to new limits physically and mentally, and I am so proud of how far we've come." Mai had appeared on the show along with her dance partner Brandon Armstrong. With each episode, the pair made sure they stepped up their game and brought their A-game to the dance floor.

Armstrong too made a statement of his own on the show by sharing a video message. "Guys, we are devastated by the news that we're gonna have to cut this season short," Armstrong said. "But Jeannie's health does come first. Thank you to all the fans that have helped get us this far and we are praying for a speedy recovery from Jeannie."

The show also made an announcement of Mai's exit on their social media. "Jeannie Mai will not be able to continue to compete on #DWTS this season due to a health concern that requires immediate attention. Jeannie has inspired us, along with millions of fans, with her energy and dedication. We wish her a full and speedy recovery," the tweet read.

The latest episode was going to see double elimination. However, following Mai's exit, only one couple is set to leave the show. "Since Jeannie had to withdraw from the competition, tonight’s show will feature the eight remaining couples and a single-elimination," read another tweet made through the show's official account.

Fans were quick to react to this news as one user wrote, "I feel bad for Brandon. He got a decent partner and would've loved to see what other routines he could've created." Another added, "Oh no!!!!! @jeanniemai I always look forward to your dances, your energy and your overall radiance, but your health is way more important than anything. Wishing you a speedy recovery!"

'Dancing With The Stars' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
