'Dancing With The Stars' Season 28: James Van Der Beek's samba routine has fans going crazy for his 'swinging hips'
'Dancing With The Stars' season 28 returned on Monday night, and with the series being halfway into the season, we expected the weaker contestants to be removed leaving the show with the strongest contenders. But sadly, Sean Spicer is still lurking around, thanks to the voting system that makes no sense.
But that aside, this week's performances were impeccable, some being emotional, and some being just totally drool-worthy, and that's where James Van Der Beek and his pro partner Emma Slater come in. Dancing the samba, the couple shook the stage with their swinging hips and damn, James' hips sure don't lie.
Len Goodman told James he wants more hip action from him, and boy did he deliver it in this week's performance. The Dawson's Creek actor put on his dancing shoes and didn't fail to treat us with an amazing performance.
Post his performance, the judges were also stunned with their routine. Carrie Ann said, "That was off the charts! Your hip, even in slow motion, were amazing. It was ridiculous!"
While Len said, "Tutti fruity, what a booty! Your bum was out of control." The couple received a score of 27/30 gaining a 9 from each judge. The judges weren't the only ones impressed with their performance. Taking to Twitter fans revealed that this was the best performance of the night, claiming that he should have gotten a 10 from all the judges.
"I Thought That Was Awesome I Would Give 10's for sure #DWTS #TeamVanDerSlate," wrote a fan. Adding to that another fan said, "Best dance of the night. I’m over here dancing around with them almost tripped over my elliptical."
"He deserved 10s! That was beyond incredible!!!," shared another fan. While another added, "I can't top Len's comment. Great dance."
"Absolutely tonight’s dance! I think more of a 10 than a 9!" wrote a fan.
