Hallmark is set to take the viewers on a thrilling journey with the latest chapter in the ‘Crossword Mysteries’ series. The upcoming TV movie, titled ‘Riddle Me Dead’, follows the journey of a newspaper editor Tess Harper (Lacy Chabert) who gets invited to be a part of a popular game show, but when the host is unexpectedly murdered, she and Detective Logan O'Connor (Brennan Elliott) seek to uncover who was behind it all.

After ‘A Puzzle to Die For’, ‘Proposing Murder’, Abracadaver, and ‘Terminal Descent’, the upcoming movie will be the fifth installment in the ‘Crossword Mystery’ series.

Plot

The official synopsis reads, “Tess gets invited to be a part of a popular game show, but when the host is unexpectedly murdered, she and Detective Logan O'Connor seek to uncover who was behind it all.”

Cast

The team of Lacey Chabert (as Tess Harper) and Brennan Elliott (as Logan O’Connor) will be back with their partnership in ‘Riddle Me Dead’. The duo has been a part of the 'Crossword Mysteries' franchise from the first installment and it will be interesting to see their chemistry growing and changing as the plot evolves. Chabert and Elliot have worked together in Hallmark movies such as ‘A Christmas Melody’ and ‘All of my Heart’.

‘Riddle Me Dead’ also stars John Capelos (Chauncey O’Connor), Barbara Niven (Candace), and Jon Cor (Hunter Hall) in pivotal roles.

Creators

The movie is being helmed by David Winning. Meanwhile, Kraig Wenman penned the story for the upcoming Hallmark film. Winning has been one of the frequent collaborators with the network and has directed movies like ‘The Mistletoe Promise’, ‘A December Bride’, ‘Finding Santa’, ‘A Summer Romance’ and many more.
