'Crossing Swords': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the adult animation series
From the makers of 'Robot Chicken' comes another adult animated stop-motion series: 'Crossing Swords.' The show follows the adventures of a young would-be knight, in a classic medieval fantasy setting. The show brings in Robot Chicken's trademark animation and style, meaning there's only one thing you can say for sure about the hero's journey: it's going to be messy.

All episodes of 'Crossing Swords' Season 1 release on Hulu on June 12.
Plot
Hulu has released a plot summary for the series, which reads as follows: "Created by Robot Chicken's John Harvatine IV and Tom Root, Crossing Swords stars Nicholas Hoult as Patrick, a good-hearted peasant who lands a coveted squire position at the royal castle. However, his dream job quickly turns into a nightmare when he learns his beloved kingdom is run by a hornet’s nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatans. Even worse, Patrick’s valor made him the black sheep in his family and now his criminal siblings have returned to make his life hell. War, murder, full-frontal nudity—who knew brightly colored peg people led such exciting lives?"

Nicholas Hoult
Nicholas Hoult stars as Patrick, the show's lead, who seeks to one day become a knight. Hoult is known for his roles in 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' 'X-Men First Class' and 'Warm Bodies.' He has worked with Robot Chicken before, voicing both Captain America and Harry Potter.
Alana Ubach
Alana Ubach stars as Queen Tulip, the royal head of the kingdom with a voracious sexual appetite. Ubach is a ubiquitous actor, having starred in over 200 theater, film and television projects. She has starred in 'Coco,' 'Euphoria' and 'See Dad Run.'
The series boasts quite an array of vocal talent, though there is currently no word on who else is playing what. The list of voice actors for the series includes Seth Green, Tony Hale, Kaley Cuoco, John DiMaggio, Nolan North and Kat Dennings.
