It has not been a great time for Team Flash with the news of Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) death in the impending 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' hitting them pretty hard. Meanwhile, fans have been eager to know each of the team member's roles during the multiverse-shattering battle. One of the questions that have been doing the rounds is of Iris' (Candice Patton) role during the battle and Arrowverse head honcho Marc Guggenheim has now given fans the answer.

According to CBR, Guggenheim was asked on Twitter if he could tease something for fans of Iris, and he replied: "Iris recruits the seventh Paragon." In later tweets, Guggenheim teased a team-up between Iris and Lois Lane, as well as various scenes with Barry Allen/The Flash, who may die in the upcoming event. The season opener of 'Arrow' saw the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) explain that the team of heroes— the Paragons would assemble to overcome the imminent 'Crisis' and at the moment it is still unclear who the Paragons actually are. The site also stated that the identity of the "seventh paragon" remains unknown.

Going by the comics, 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' was a 12-issue mini-series that focused on the greatest battle in cosmic history.  The  Anti-Monitor (the Monitor's evil counterpart) is unleashed on the DC Multiverse and begins to destroy the various Earths that it comprises. This leads the Monitor to build an army of superheroes and villains who team up to save all that existed.  On November 10, The CW released a teaser for the upcoming crossover. The teaser gives us our first look at Brandon Routh as the 'Kingdom Come' Superman, and Black Lightning's first appearance in the larger Arrowverse.
