The fourth movie in the 'Chronicle Mysteries' series titled 'Chronicle Mysteries: The Deep End' will see Alison Sweeney's Alex McPherson and Benjamin Ayres' Drew Godfried race against time to catch a killer and prevent the innocent woman from going to prison.

Plot
According to the official synopsis provided by Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, the latest edition of Alex McPherson’s (Alison Sweeney) true-crime podcast 'Recovered' centers on the death of a man whose wife seems certain to be convicted for his murder. As she follows the story on her podcast, Alex, assisted by her colleague Drew Godfrey (Benjamin Ayres), she become convinced that the wife didn’t do it. However, unless she can identify and locate the killer before the trial reaches its conclusion, an innocent woman will take the fall for a murder she didn’t commit.

Alison Sweeney as Alex McPherson
Sweeney plays the role of Alex McPherson, a podcast host who moves to her hometown to manage The Chronicle, the local newspaper owned by her uncle. The actress is known for her portrayal of Samantha Brady on 'Days of Our Lives' — a role which earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination, four Soap Opera Digest Awards and a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award.
Sweeney also serves as the executive producer of the movie series.
Benjamin Ayres as Drew Godfried
Ayres plays the role of Drew Godfried, the editor-in-chief at The Chronicle newspaper. The actor is known for his role of Dr. Zach Miller on 'Saving Hope'. His role on the HBO Canada series 'Less Than Kind' got him a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award. He was also seen in 'jPod' playing the role of Casper Jesperson.
Director
'Chronicle Mysteries: The Deep End' is directed by Nimisha Mukerji, an award-winning director. Her debut feature titled '65 Redroses' was one of the first official selections by Oprah Winfrey for her Documentary Club on OWN. Her second feature 'Blood Relative' won Audience Awards in Vancouver, New York and Paris before receiving three Canadian Screen Award nominations including Best Direction in a Documentary Program.
