While Christina's family and friends prepare a baby shower for her, she is on to her next renovation

'Christina on the Coast' returned on Thursday night for an all-new episode, and this week the budget went over the roof for Jason and Katherine who wanted their kitchen and living room renovated.

While Christina's family and friends prepare a baby shower for her, Christina is on to her next renovation. Meeting with Jason and Katherine in their home, the couple reveals that they like to invite their friends over.

They were not able to do so now because their living room and kitchen isn't exactly entertainment friendly. Since they do not share the same likes, Katherine wanted her kitchen to have a classic design, while Jason wanted it to be modern and industrial.

With a budget of around $65k given by the couple, Christina says she can give them an open floor plan, take out the walls that separate the kitchen from the dining, a massive open island, chef's kitchen, new uppers and lowers and a huge farm sink.

While removing the walls, Jason and Katherine are hit with the news that they need around $10k additionally to remove the beams in the kitchen to give it an open floor.

Despite it being way over their budget, the couple agrees to go ahead with it. Later we get to know that they even have some plumbing issues which adds another $4k for new plumbing.

With $14k over the said budget, Katherine is worried but happy that at least once it gets done they wouldn't have to worry about it. Since they were anyway going overboard with the budget, Jason and Katherine decide to add new flooring to all the rooms in the house which cost them an additional $4k.

The couple decides to have a massive white island, with white countertops and cabinets. They decided to go a little modern in the backsplash with a white leaf-like pattern with grey grout.

Though the renovations weren't cheap, Jason and Katherine will never regret it. Christina renovated their house into one whole functioning place that looked stunning.

Taking to Twitter after the episode, fans share how much they love the island and the way Christina designed their kitchen. "Gray grout on the backsplash was the best choice. White gets dirty in the long term and it helps the time stand out. #ChristinaontheCoast," wrote a fan.

"Looks like a completely different place... Well done!!! #ChristinaOnTheCoast #HGTV," wrote a fan while another added, "That island is H U G E #ChristinaontheCoast."

"The kitchen came out really nice. I'm glad she decided to put the hardwood in the other rooms. Best time to do it while construction is going on. #ChristinaontheCoast," added a fan.
